Claire Weeks is a talented water colour artist living and working in Suffolk. Drawing upon her love of all things chicken, and inspired by her very own spirited cockerel, chickens and hens, Claire’s full range of colourful and uplifting watercolour products includes paintings, stationery and tableware. Claire’s work strives to show the character displayed by her beloved birds, and her work has been transferred onto beautiful glass and melamine tableware as well as cards and invitations for any special occasions. Ideal as presents for both him and her, Claire’s range of original and limited edition chicken and animal paintings, as well as her collection of quality tableware, make unique gifts. Commissions are also welcome, with customers able to specify the occasion, size, and preferred colours to be used.
Claire has exhibited her work at a number of Galleries across Northumberland, The Borders, Lothian’s and Dunkeld, including the prestigious Gymnasium Gallery at Berwick upon Tweed. At the highly regarded East Linton Art Show, she was joint 1st in the Watercolour section where Professor Richard Demarco, the famous Scottish Arts critic, gave her a special verbal mention for her ‘observation and movement’. Brian Turnbull placed her runner up in the 2008 Fred Stott painting competition at Berwick Art Group.
